Sports Days
The annual School Sports, which were held on March 17th, proved a great success. Besides the usual athletics, racing and jumping, which were keenly and equally contested by both girls and boys, the spectators were entertained by numerous novel events. The sports were well organised and conducted by the secondary assistant, Mr. J. G. Patterson, who takes a keen interest in this most important aspect of school life. It was noticeable that the children entered with zest into the sports; for at Vasanta every girl and boy has equal opportunities for becoming proficient in gymnasium, athletics, tennis, basketball, folk dancing and swimming.
